Four Weeks to a Flatter Stomach
This program incorporates meal plans and attitude shifting to help you reach your goals and become healthier for the rest of your life. The exercise sessions alternate between interval training days, power walking and/or running days, and core conditioning and flexibility training. This would meet Monday through Friday early in the morning. 5:30 am. $100.00
Barefoot Yoga BootCamp
This is a barefoot class that includes cardio, strength, flexibility, and core work with willpower and grace. This would meet twice a week in the evenings for four weeks. $50.00
Bad Knees Boot Camp
This Boot Camp is geared towards those in their 40’s, 50’s, & 60’s - a low impact interval training program to increase stamina, strengthen your core, improve bone density, and increase your range of motion. Food Awareness training included. This would meet twice a week in the evenings for four weeks. $50.00

Cost is $15 - of which, $10 will go into the winners pot! There will be two winners: Most pounds lost, and highest percent of bodyweight lost. (not bodyfat%). Each time you weigh in, you must pay $1 for every pound gained from your last weigh-in. Those dollars are added to the winner’s pot. The two winners will split the pot on the 15th.
As always I encourage healthy, slow (1-2 pounds per week) weight loss through nutritious balanced eating and regular exercise and sleep patterns. Each week, you’ll be asked to name one specific healthy goal you have for the week. For example, “I’m going to eat spinach in a wrap sandwich on Mon, Wed, & Fri this week.”
Weigh-ins on Mondays (7am-10am; 4:30pm-8pm). Contest begins Monday, Jan 11th and ends February 22nd.

Each week you’ll set a goal to meet 4 requirements to get your name and/or picture on the WALL OF FAME.
#1 - Measure in Weekly (you choose the day and the type of measurement you’ll be tracking) weight; neck measurement; or arm measurement.
#2 - Get 1.5 hours of fitness at the Jym - this can be classes or cardio or circuit training - it’s up to you!
#3 - Meet the nutrition goal of the week: for example, nutrition goal for week #1: get 1 cup of fruit daily.
#4 - Turn in a food journal when you measure in each week.
If you complete all six weeks, we have a t-shirt for you! The best benefit, however, of joining the challenge will be the changes you see in yourself. Making lifestyle changes for a healthier you is a process - you’ll find ideas that will fit in your life that you’ll want to maintain forever. And that is where lasting results come from!
Meeting on Thursday nights, beginning in October, We will have a new First Place 4 Health Bible Study group. Visit www.firstplace4health.com for information about this Christ-centered weight management and balanced health program. Each bible study is 12 weeks long - you can join for a single study or stay in it for the long haul and do one after another. The program is designed to cover a year with three 12-week studies and one or two 6-week studies. Jana’s Jym has several Boot Camps so you can pick one to fit your schedule! You must register in advance or the boot camp may not be held - we need a minimum of 8 participants to hold the camp.
M-W-F - 5:30am at the Jym - $75 / $50 for returning campers!
M-W-F - 4:00pm at a school campus - Campus will be determined by number signed up. - Open to all - $100 / $75 for RCISD employees
T-Th - 4:00pm at a school campus - $65 / $50 for RCISD employees

If you don’t see any cars in the lot - do not fret. If it is during our normal hours (keeping in mind the Tues/Thur 11-4 closure) then we are open! I am walking and riding my bike - some of the girls who work for me get dropped off so you may not see a vehicle for them either. Come on in Anyway!
The Jym will be closed August 28th, Friday - Jana will be attending Dallas Mania (Thurs-Sun) - and learning all kinds of fun new things to share with you all.
Regular hours on Thursday & Saturday but Jana will not be here. The Jym will be open but some classes are affected. On Thursday, the only classes to be held are Yoga-laties and Turbo Kick. Saturday we will only have Yoga-laties.
I apologize and encourage you to use the day off to try something new such as an outdoor bike ride or run/walk with your kids/husband/dog/bird etc… And remember, you can always do push-ups (off the wall, the counter, the sofa, or floor)!

It’s going to be a great summer!
Ladies! It’s official - we will be moving into some rooms in the old Stonebrook Learning Center at the corner of Hwy 66 and Erby Campbell (Hickory Hill). This is kitty corner from the splash park on Hwy 66 and also across from the Walker Hawk Sports Complex. To google/map it use 201 N. Hickory Hill instead of the new road name of Erby Campbell.
Sally Wendel and Wend Spa will be moving to the new building as well. Four Winds Church will also be located here.
For the move, the Jym on Main Street will be closed on Jun 29th & 30th (Mon & Tues). We will open on Wednesday, July 1st at the new place which is just 1/2 mile down 66.
Current membership packages are the same - all your normal classes and work-outs. You will have the option to add any of the special programs to your membership with a “current member discount.”

I’m very excited to announce our upcoming move to a new location exactly 1/2 mile down Hwy 66/Main Street. Recipe of the Month
Turkey Broccoli Roll-ups - Chelsie Griffin
2 lbs fresh broccoli spears
1 lb thin sliced smoked turkey
2 Tbs frozen orange juice conc (thawed)
1/3 c fat-free sour cream
1/4 c reduced fat mayo
1 Tbs Dijon mustard
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
Briefly steam broccoli spears in microwave. Combine remaining ingredients except for turkey. Cut turkey slices into 2 inch wide strips. Spread dressing on turkey slices and roll around broccoli spear tightly. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. “Yummy!”

Themes include Hannah Montana, Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny, Disney Princess, and more… For example, let us provide the perfect dance party for your little girl. We transform the studio into a dancing dream with disco ball, colored lighting, and strobe effects. Our party coordinator will glam up each girl with a little shimmer and nail polish; teach the girls dance moves and a complete dance routine; and serve them cake and punch. We set it up, run it, and clean it up - you just enjoy! Each girl receives a small keepsake and the birthday girl keeps her crown.
